US Department of Commerce’s International Buyer Program
The High Point Market has been chosen to participate in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Buyers Program. Created to present the United States’ top international trade opportunities to the international business community, the IBP brings international buyers and U.S. firms together by promoting leading U.S. tradeshows in industries with high export potential to prospective international buyers, designers, representatives and distributors. This worldwide promotion will be executed through the offices of the Commercial Service in 74 countries representing America’s major trading partners and also in U.S. Embassies in countries where the Commercial Service does not maintain offices.
The selection of the High Point Market for International Buyers Program was based on a wide range of criteria, including:
- Recognition as a leading international event within the home furnishings industry
- The high export potential of our industry
- Significant international interest in the High Point Market and its position as a clearly recognized industry leading event that maintains the capability for overseas marketing
- Interest of international exhibitors
- A world-class facility that is capable accommodating international exhibitors and visitors
- Market-sponsored matching system to bring individual international buyers and suppliers together
