Market History

How and why did Market become established in High Point?

Because many of the major furniture manufacturers were located in High Point and western N.C. towns of Hickory, Lenoir and others, High Point was a central and convenient place for the manufacturers to bring their product to market. It was equally convenient for the retailers to see all the product premiers in one place as opposed to traveling to all the manufacturers scattered around North Carolina.
