RACING HITS A HIGH POINT
Z-Line Designs Stages Show Car Appearance at Market

Z-Line Designs, known for innovative Ready-to-Assemble (RTA) furniture designs is showcasing its sponsorship of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) NASCAR Busch Series Team during Market next week.

On Tuesday, Oct. 2 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Z-Line Designs will host an autograph session with driver Kevin Conway at 220 Elm Street, Space 208. The No. 18 Z-Line Designs Chevrolet will also be on display in the courtyard outside during show hours.

“Z-Line Designs is a proud sponsor of the No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Team in the NASCAR Busch Series,” says Jim Sexton, Z-Line Designs president and chief operating officer. “This year we have worked hard to make Z-Line Designs top of mind among NASCAR’s ever-growing fan base by showcasing our brand both at-track and in-store. We’ve also leveraged this sponsorship to build upon our already strong relationships with our vendors. For our company, this has become more than a sponsorship. It’s a platform for new business.”

A marketing graduate from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte, Conway personally orchestrated the deal that brought Z-Line Designs to JGR. Behind the scenes, he’s also been hard at work helping Z-Line Designs achieve its marketing initiatives through racing.

“It’s not too often you get a sponsor you can get excited about because they create products that really fit your lifestyle,” says Conway, the 28-year-old Lynchburg, Va., native who has been behind the wheel of the No. 18 Z-Line Designs Chevrolet for seven starts this season. “I’ve been on both sides of the fence and have been able to personally watch Z-Line Designs grow their brand by leaps and bounds this year. It’s been an amazing experience.”

While it might seem slightly unorthodox to bring the world of stock car racing to a world renowned home furnishings show, Sexton sees it as a perfect fit.

“High Point is the home furnishings capital of the world,” Sexton says. “With Charlotte—the birthplace of NASCAR—just down the road, we thought that the High Point Market would be the perfect place to showcase our continuing partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing in the NASCAR Busch Series.”

Z-Line Design’s growing motor sports program extends to the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, where it sponsors the No. 19 Daytona Prototype team of drivers Michael Valiante and Rob Finlay. It’s also a leading partner with the national Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants the wishes of children afflicted with life-threatening illnesses by reaching out to the motor sports audience.

In keeping with its racing theme at Market, Z-Line Designs is launching a new Quick Ship Domestic Warehouse program. The program includes award-winning styles and designs with a focus on the (ahem) fast-moving entertainment category.
