High Point Market is in the midst of a renaissance on many levels and among the many visible changes this Spring is a new exhibitor showcase on the third floor of the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC).
Buyers “wowed” by the spectacular renovation of InterHall last Market will be thrilled by IHFC’s latest, massive renovation project, aptly named Pavilions on 3. A sneak peak at the plans shows that the conventional corridors of the Main Wing’s third floor are being replaced with a vibrant, open, SoHo-style exhibition space.
The focus will be on decorative accessories and home accents, with as many as 40 companies new to IHFC showing here, coupled with an inviting shopping experience. Beyond the winding cobblestone lanes connecting exhibitors in semi-public spaces, Pavilions on 3 will feature a restaurant, bistro/cappuccino bar, a lovely bronze fountain splashing into a marble pool and antique streetlamps for atmosphere, and live trees.
Across the bridge connecting Main's third floor with the Wrenn and Green Wings, word has it that IHFC is making another 40,000 square feet available to decorative accessories and home accents companies that prefer permanent showrooms. Tom Lindh, president and chief executive reports leasing has been brisk and these new showrooms will also debut at the April market.
“The quick and overwhelming response confirms the demand for space from exhibitors eager to showcase their innovative merchandise in a premier location with strong buyer traffic,” Lindh notes, “and we’re pulling out all the stops on the third floor this Spring. We want to create an environment that everyone at Market wants to experience.”
