Among the new showrooms to watch for this Spring is Jaclyn Smith Home. The 4,000-square-foot showroom will be located in Space 304 of the International Home Furnishings Center (IHFC) Hamilton Wing.
Infused with the gracious style of the accomplished actress, designer, businesswoman and healthcare philanthropist, the initial introductions of the new integrated lifestyle brand will include three conceptual themes to make it easy for the consumer and retailers to create beautiful, well-coordinated spaces. Product encompasses upholstery, fine art, decorative tables and accents, fabrics and rugs.
Jaclyn Smith Home is guided by HB2 Resources partners and former Storehouse leaders, Caroline Hipple and Dixon Barlett. “The voice of these collections might be described as a vibrant tension between lovely and edgy, of being warm and down to earth, all the while lyrical and refined. It is simple and elegant, but ever so hip,” Hipple relates.
“We’re excited about this innovative new approach that presents a focused point of view,” Smith says. “In our showroom, we will be able to showcase our new designs together across multiple product categories to make gracious living accessible. In challenging times, it’s important to offer our customers the added value of beautifully coordinated rooms with fabrics, case goods and accessories.”
“We see a place for neo-traditional lines that are softened with a little more shape and detail,” Bartlett says. “This is design that is clean and fresh, but with beauty, elegance and graciousness at an accessible price point. Jaclyn Smith Home will be unique in its design and presentation.”
“We are committed to the home furnishings industry and to doing this the right way by starting with a focus on the consumer and creating dynamic consumer connections,” describes Charlie Rice, chief executive of Jaclyn Smith International. “The exciting new product that will be introduced is only the tip of the iceberg of our new strategy: A holistic formula that coordinates merchandising, marketing and sales within the Jaclyn Smith Home organization.”
