Looking for new and different at Market this Spring? Hoping to spark your creativity? Then plan to check out the Top Floor of the Suites at Market Square, home to a new trend center called Amazed, an innovative display created to help retailers and designers rethink and rejuvenate their businesses.
“Designers and merchandisers are always looking for a source of inspiration for their work,” says Karen Olson, vice president of marketing for Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc., “and we believe Amazed, our new trend center, will provide this. This is not your typical display of product trends, but more conceptual, stimulating personal interpretation.”
The trend center is literally a maze of distinct rooms full of thought-provoking ideas, and each room provides a different experience for the visitor. According to Olson, visitors will learn about the shifting values and cultural changes that are altering the way people furnish the space in which they live. They will see how technological advancements, food and fashion are impacting our ever-changing homes. And, this journey of visual, olfactory, and tactile experiences will provide insights into the trends that are changing the buying habits of today’s home furnishings consumers.
The Amazed concept was developed by Lynn Carroll of Covet, Mike Farrell of Imagine adventures and Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. Following its debut next month, the Amazed trend center will be a regular feature at future High Point Markets with ever-changing content designed to reflect current trends.
