Based in Nashville, Carroll by Design makes hand-made lighting from reclaimed materials with a story. When we create a fixture for your customer we provide a 5x7 picture of where the wood came from along with the story behind your piece.
Current collections include wood from Rockingham Park, where Seabiscuit was stabled for two years in the 1930s. We also have wood from the first American-born architect, Charles Bullfinch, who designed the US Capitol Rotunda, metal support beams from a 1930s record store and wood from One Milk Street, the birthplace of Benjamin Franklin.
With general UL coverage, all of our lighting is UL listed for residential and commercial applications.
Our custom fabric covered drum line has also been a popular addition. Designers or customers can provide us with the custom drum size and we will hand-make the light to their needs.
Our lighting can be seen in the American Life Collection in the Hooker Furniture Showroom at IHC, Emdee International's Showroom at IHC and our space at Suites at Market Square, Salon, G 7044.
