Borne out of an old engineering and blacksmithing tradition, Elstead Lighting is a British company established in 1969. Nowadays they specialise almost entirely in decorative lighting, with the design and some manufacturing still taking place at their location in Alton, England.

Having such a long and rich social history gives English lighting a unique and eclectic design style. Elstead reflects many of these styles in their current portfolio. Today their products are sold in more than 50 countries worldwide, bringing a taste of the period British home to a growing audience.

In the fall of 2016, the partnership of Lucas+McKearn came to fruition, combining the New Orleans based companies Flambeau and Gilded Nola, owned by Joseph McKearn and English company Elstead Lighting, owned by Jonathan and Deborah Lucas. This marks the first time Elstead Lighting products have been available to the US market.
