Show House In A Showroom

Alden Parkes teams with eight designers to create a one-of-a-kind Market experience

One showroom. Eight designers. You won't want to miss this. ‘Show House in a Showroom’ was born in the imagination of one designer, and grew into a team of eight interior designers whose wealth of experience and wide range of styles will create an unforgettable presentation in the individual rooms of the Alden Parkes showroom.

The eight designers from seven design companies are Billy Ceglia of Billy Ceglia Designs, Jeanne Chung of Cozy Stylish Chic, Kara Cox of Kara Cox Interiors, Cynthia Ferguson of Cynthia Ferguson Designs, Shay Geyer of IBB Design, Jeanine Hays and Bryan Mason of AphroChic, and Kimberly Perron of Resort at Home. Each will work with a specific theme, and will complement the furniture of Alden Parkes with lighting, accessories, top of the bed, table top, accessories, rugs, and more from additional sponsors including Capa Rugs, Replacements, Ltd., and Eastern Accents.

“We’re big fans of the stunning show houses produced by the design community, and we thought this would be a fun and exciting way to transform our space.”

The designers were chosen based on their diverse looks, as well as their geographic diversity. As part of the challenge, each space will include a blend of best sellers and new additions to the Alden Parkes line.

“We love to shake things up, for our retailers and designers,” says Alden Parkes CEO, Lynne McArdle. “We wanted to showcase how our products and designs can work in many different rooms and styles, so we set each designer free to highlight their individual style."

Designers submitted floor plans, chose colors, worked with all sponsors, and presented their ideas on trend boards. Alden Parkes was their client and each designer worked directly with Lynne McArdle to be sure their vision worked with the company's needs.

The ‘Show House in a Showroom’ will kick off on Thursday, October 11 and will run through the end of High Point Market on Wednesday, October 17. The Alden Parkes showroom is open from 8am to 7pm each day.

A special kickoff social will be held on Saturday, October 13 from 3pm-5pm. The designers will be on hand to talk about their design concepts. Plus, at 2pm on Saturday, Jane Dagmi, Editor in Chief of Designers Today, will lead the group in a discussion of the pros and cons of having a niche design.
