Join circular design expert Laurence Carr, as she hosts a lively discussion with industry pioneers and manufacturers, including Chad Bolick (Unifi), Susan Inglis (SFC), Cisco Pinedo (Cisco Home), and Kathryn Richardson (Libeco), who seek to replace the end-of-life concept with upcycling, shift toward renewable energy, reduce carbon emission, eliminate the use of toxic chemicals, and importantly, aim to eliminate waste.

Foam Recycling: Creating Jobs for Today and Home Decor for Tomorrow

In terms of home design, new technology is allowing materials such as crown moulding, home décor & accessories, lighting & even outdoor furniture to be made from recycled foam. Advancements in 3D printing should be expanding the potential even more in the near future. Join us at Center Stage for a demonstration of a foam densifier to see how packaging & food grade foam is finding new life as part of Tiny House Community Development’s foam recycling project. This project is creating jobs for those who have or are experiencing homelessness in the High Point & Greensboro areas while practicing sustainability through their densifier recycling efforts.
