For more than 500 years, Althorp has been the home of the Spencer family, reflecting generations of discerning taste and English heritage. The estate’s remarkable collection of paintings, furniture, china, and sculpture continues to shape its distinctive character. In 1992, Charles, 9th Earl Spencer, worked with Theodore Alexander to bring the Althorp Living History Collection to life. Inspired by treasures gathered at Althorp during the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries, the collection captures the elegance, craftsmanship, and enduring spirit of this historic English home. Rooted in five centuries of family history, Althorp Living History brings the timeless character of Althorp into the home today.
