    Interior designer and author, Sandra Brown, will be speaking on her new book, titled "The Well-Dressed Window: Curtains at Winterthur." A book signing with refreshments will follow. Kindel and Winterthur share over 30 years of collaborative success. Henry Francis du Pont, the force behind the transformation of Winterthur from a family house to a premier museum of American decorative arts, is recognized, as one of the early leaders of interior design in this country. Du Pont paid particular attention to the design of the curtains, and The Well-Dressed Window surveys his achievement, explaining how the fabrics were selected as well as their relationship to the architecture and other decorative elements in the rooms.

    Join Kindel, Karges, Councill and Councill Contract for the grand opening of their new showroom at the 200 Steele Building, Suite 132. Together, these four brands known as Kindel Grand Rapids, celebrate the craftsmanship and skill of our artisans. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served. Kindel will be introducing the new Pinehurst Collection with opening remarks from James A. Fisher, chairman of Kindel Grand Rapids and Tom Pashley, president of The Pinehurst Resort.
