M Clement
Add to MyMarketMichael Clément creates hand-crafted decorative arts in rich colors and distinctive finishes mimicking a patina of time inspired by his hometown New Orleans. Every M.Clément piece is custom made. Like all M.Clément pieces, these lamp bases start as locally sourced clay that is rolled out and cut into pieces for hand building. Three base coats chosen from over 35 custom colors are then hand applied. The pattern is hand drawn, then painted and the bases and shades are then gilded. Wrapping up the 8 week process, each piece is tarnished and washed in an aging acrylic umber wash that gives it a patina of time passed. I
