Meet Gary

Gary Inman is a man of many hats: professor, designer, historian, writer, speaker, interviewer, brand ambassador, and former Style Spotter. He is celebrated for his design of luxury resorts and boutique hotels for clients ranging from Pinehurst Resort to Duke University, Colonial Williamsburg, the University of Virginia, and the Thomas Jefferson Foundation to his bespoke homes and product designs with Moore Councill, Jonathan Charles, Stark Carpet, and LebaTex, spanning a thirty-year career. His award-winning designs have been published in The Washington Post, Traditional Home, Southern Accents, Elle Décor, Boutique Design, Home & Design, and many others.

Inman is a respected design authority and has moderated dozens of panels and interviews at High Point Market with industry icons including Vicente Wolf, Alexa Hampton, Michelle Nussbaumer, Barry Dixon, Michel Smith Boyd, Stacy Garcia, and Kelli Ellis. He believes that “great design begins with a great story.” He states, “In all of this work, my goal has been to weave breathtaking moments of beauty into stories in space that delight the eye, inspire the imagination, and restore the spirit.
