Meet Ron
Ron Woodson, principal and creative director of Ron Woodson Design, and formerly co-principal in the award-winning interior design firm Woodson & Rummerfield’s House of Design, is based in Los Angeles and Lisbon, Portugal. RWD specializes in creating high-style interiors, combining opulence with artful living for the discerning, high-profile global clientele.
Ron has been named one of the Top 10 African American Interior Designers, 2022-2023, by the Black Interior Designers Network; Interior Designer of the Year by the National Arts Council; and one of Hollywood's Top 20 Interior Designers by The Hollywood Reporter. His work, along with his former partner Jaime Rummerfield, has been featured in over 150 design magazines and publications worldwide, such as Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, House Beautiful and Traditional Home. Ron has been named to House Beautiful's Top 20 Designers List; Metropolitan Home's Top 100 List; Traditional Home's New Trends; Luxe Magazine's Design Gold List; and one of California's Top 50 Tastemakers and Influencers by Modern Interiors, Angeleno. Ron is a published author of design home High Style by Chronicle Books, which was inducted to the list of Oprah's top design books.
Ron is a true style maker, decorating memorable interiors filled with beauty, provenance and the comforts of luxury living. Extensive knowledge of design history, studies at UCLA’s Architectural & Interior Design Program, and travels to over 60 countries and counting have inspired his design sensibility.
Ron is co-founder of Save Iconic Architecture (SIA Projects), a non-profit organization based in Los Angeles dedicated to preserving noteworthy architecture. The depth and breadth of expertise and passion for cultural heritage guides a spotlight on important structures that are at risk of being demolished. SIA champions important architecture such as works by Richard Neutra, Robert Farquhar, Donald Wexler and Paul R. Williams. Through landmarking, onsite activism, City Cultural nHeritage hearings, and preservation projects, he is a dedicated expert in protecting and preserving iconic architecture.
