Overcoming Overwhelm with Ginna Christensen

Overwhelm, stress, burnout - whatever name you use, the feelings and results are usually the same. These emotions can cause us to fall out of love with the work we do; they impede our ability to access our creativity, problem-solve and make decisions. They can make us feel like "pulling the pin," causing everything we've worked so hard to build to implode. But what if there was another way? What if you could recognize the signs of stress before it was too late, or better, what if you could design your business and work in a way that allowed you to avoid overwhelm and burnout at least 90% of the time? In this workshop, I will use a tool I use with my clients to help them trust themselves and find out a way forward that works best for them.

With more than 200 textiles in the collection acquired by Marjorie Skouras, this exhibition will feature 24 vintage Mexican dresses from the 1970s. Ms. Skouras's interest in these dresses began when she bought a ruined 19th-century colonial mansion in Merida in 2015. The collection started simply as a passion for the pieces but soon expanded to researching the dressmakers/designers and their inspiration from Mexican art and culture of the 1960s and 1970s reflecting the surrealist, modern, and pop art movement of that era.
