Founded in 1996 by David Calligeros, Remains Lighting Company stands as one of the few American ateliers devoted to the complete design and fabrication of fine lighting and metalwork. What began as a hunt for antique fixtures has evolved into a culture of making where each piece, whether restored, reimagined, or newly conceived, is built upon decades of study in material, form, and traditional craft. Within their 25,000-square-foot LEED Gold-certified factory in Brooklyn, designers, engineers, and artisans work side by side, transforming raw brass, bronze, and glass into heirloom-quality lighting and home accessories. Every process, throughout fabrication to finishing and assembly, is guided by both preservation and progress: the belief that innovation and time-honored technique are not opposites but continuations of one another.
