Schoolhouse was born from a passion for iconic, timeless design. When our founder struggled to find period-appropriate lighting and hardware for home restorations, he tracked down glass blowers and metalworkers to create the pieces himself. In 2003, we launched in a century-old factory in Portland, Oregon. Today, we craft products inspired by classic American design, from industrial drawer pulls to mid-century lamps. Our commitment to quality, thoughtful living, and purposeful design has remained constant.
