Soil to Studio

Soil to Studio is a New York based textile design studio. We use heritage techniques of hand block-printing and block-making to make modern and handcrafted textiles for everyday living. We are also passionate about collaborating with artisans at grass-root levels across rural India, in an effort to bring their work and craftsmanship directly to those who appreciate unique and thoughtfully made products. Our designs are inspired by our Founder's hometown - Udaipur and her childhood memories. The design aesthetic is playful and modern, yet rooted in tradition and culture. Through our creations, we want to give a glimpse of modern India and make handmade luxury accessible to all.
