At PET Lamp, we are driven by a mission to interweave sustainability with cultural preservation. Since our inception in 2012, we have repurposed over 28,000 PET bottles and counting into stunning, handcrafted lamps, collaborating with artisan communities in Colombia, Ethiopia, Thailand, Chile, and Ghana. Our work has been recognized globally, with pieces featured in prestigious museums such as the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the V&A Museum in London, and the Denver Art Museum. Our latest project, PET Lamp Gurunsi, exemplifies our commitment to both the environment and cultural heritage. In partnership with the Gurunsi artisan community in Ghana, we have transformed PET bottles into monumental flat lamps, showcasing the community's traditional weaving techniques. This initiative not only honors their cultural legacy but also prevents thousands of plastic bottles from polluting the environment.
