Stephanie Seal Brown is a master handweaver, textile designer and Schumacher Collaborator based in New Yorkʼs Hudson Valley. She designs and produces her textiles on Swedish handlooms in her studio. By not automating the process, she is able to be intimately involved with every step. As each idea evolves, every inch of yarn passes through her hands multiple times as it is prepared and woven, with small changes and continuous iterations. Slowing down the process allows time for every aspect of the textiles—aesthetics, function, longevity, materials—to develop and find voice in the final design. At the Fall Market, she will be presenting both her handwoven linen tape trims and her design collaborations with Schumacher.

A conversation across two spaces about nature, craft, and things made to last. Join us for an intimate morning devoted to craft, nature, and the quiet endurance of well-made things. Our two practices honor the natural world in different ways: printed linen drawn from real, endangered species, and handwoven textiles in natural fibers. Both believe the objects we live with should carry a story and be made to last. Made with research, restraint, and care, our textiles create interiors that feel personal, considered, and alive. Print and weave, pattern and texture: together they show how the natural world can live on a wall, along an edge, and in the hand. Drop in anytime, Booths 211 & M07.
